Nominator's project description
| Professor Raymond Wai Ho Yeung is a leading figure in modern information theory who is well known for fundamental contributions to source coding, entropy characterizations, and as a co-founder of the theory of network coding. His research points out new and exciting avenues for radically novel theoretical understanding and practical operation of data networks. During his stay at the TU Munich he plans to investigate error correction and robustness issues in this context. |
